starters

Soup of the day V   £3.90

Vietnamese rice rolls V    £4.60
Vietnamese rice wrappers filled with a refreshing combination of hoisin aubergine, rice noodles, cucumber, coriander, rocket, spring onion and roasted mushroom. Served cold with a nuoc cham sauce.

Halloumi and pepper toasts     £4.50
Slices of ciabatta topped with roasted red pepper, basil pesto and halloumi cheese then bread crumbed. Deep fried and served on a garden potato salad.

Aubergine involtini    £4.90
Rolls of pan fried aubergine filled with mozzarella and basil, lightly baked in a tomato sauce and served on an artichoke and broad bean salad and finished with grated veggie parmesan.

Avocado smushi (vegan available)   £4.70
Pumpernickel bread, topped with quinoa, avocado, mozzarella and wasabe bound together with mayonnaise. Topped with slices of tomato marinated in basil and balsamic and a small rocket salad.

Main courses

Asparagus in paper    £8.90
Asparagus baked in paper with mascarpone, vermouth, garlic and herb butter, fresh peas, new potatoes and courgette. The ultimate way to cook asparagus! Served with a twice-baked goats cheese soufflé and a creamy watercress sauce.

Potato and cauliflower ‘dhosa’ V    £8.60
A large chickpea pancake rolled and filled with curried potato and cauliflower. Served on a sweet and sour tamarind sauce with a South Indian kosambari (beansprout and carrot) salad

Pan fried gnocchi (vegan available)    £8.50
Homemade potato gnocchi lightly tossed in olive oil with broccoli, peas, spinach, olives, basil and a creamy tomato sauce. Served with a small caprese salad, veggie parmesan and toasted pine nuts.

Mushrooms ‘Rossini’   £9
Assorted mushrooms braised with herbs on a rosemary roasted potato. Topped with pan-fried pain perdu and a slice of pecan and stilton paté de faux gras. Served with asparagus, fine beans and carrots with a wild mushroom Madeira sauce.

Pithivier    £8.70
A puff pastry pie filled with French brie, sweet oven roasted tomatoes, a butternut squash gratin and caramelised red onions. Baked to order and served on a small salad with a creamy pink peppercorn sauce.

Desserts

Little weed tiramisu    £5
The classic Italian dessert served in Bill and Bens’ favourite way.

Mango doughnuts V    £4.80
Homemade and served on a cherry and chocolate sauce with a lime and coconut sorbet.

Strawberry and Pimms tart    £4.60
Delicate sweet pastry filled with melon Turkish delight and Pimms soaked strawberries. With crème fraiche.
